This class is designed to prepare participants for the American Society of Sanitary Engineers (ASSE) backflow tester certification exam. Topics covered include an overview of cross-conection theory, application, and programs. It also illustrates hydraulic principles, test gauges, terminology, and the internal operation of backflow assemblies. ASSE test procedure standards, troubleshooting, and procedures will be introduced for preparation of the ASSE 100 question written exam. Hands on experience in a lab setting will be experienced to prepare to demonstrate to an ASSE proctor the ability to understand operation and testing of ASSE approved assemblies. Participants must document 5 years of plumbing or related experiences to qualify to take the exam. Fees include the text books, ASSE exam and proctor fees.
