Laramie County Community College Outreach and Workforce Development, Cheyenne, Wyoming

Students learn to identify the major parts of the vertical mill, align a vise, use an indicator, edge finder, and boring head. Students will determine speeds and feeds to perform simple indexing while milling flat and square surfaces. They will learn to drill, bore, and tap holes to meet very precise tolerances. Students will gain hands-on experience while performing lathe operations in a lab environment.
