Ready to turbo-charge your Microsoft Excel skills and advance your data analysis capabilities? In this half-day course, the first of a 2-part series (followed by "Excel: Power Pivot"), this course will help you gain a better overall understanding of data analysis and how to take advantage of more advanced features of Excel's PivotTables (PTs) and PivotCharts, to analyze data from a variety of sources and then present meaningful data with maximum clarity and effectiveness, to improve business decisions. Topics covered include: preparing raw data, creating PTs from multiple sources, summarizing, organizing, filtering and formatting PTs, followed by creating, manipulating and formatting PivotCharts. Books are provided, along with in-person computer lab activities. As this course builds upon and extends numerous Excel concepts, it is strongly recommended to have completed Excel levels: 1, 2, 3 courses as prerequisites, although they are not mandatory for enrollment in this course. This course and its Part 2 companion: "Excel: Power Pivot," collectively qualify as "Excel 4: Data Analysis."

This half-day course, the second of a 2-part series (preceded by "Excel: PivotTables"), will teach you how to use Excel's powerful Power Pivot add-in, to grant access to an extensive set of data processing, rearranging and summarizing features, including the Power Pivot Data Model. Topics covered include: navigating Power Pivot, managing data relationships for creating Power Pivot reports, creating calculated fields, columns, KPIs, using CUBE functions and also DAX date and time functions. Books are provided, along with in-person computer lab activities. This course is the second of a 2-part series, so prior successful completion of "Excel: PivotTables" is required. As this course builds upon and extends numerous Excel concepts, it is also strongly recommended to have completed Excel levels: 1, 2, 3 courses as prerequisites, although they are not required for enrollment in this course. This course along with its Part 1 companion: "Excel: PivotTables," collectively qualify as "Excel 4: Data Analysis."
